Roger heads up the UK operation of Westcore, where he brings his considerable and varied experience to bear. With specialties in cross-border structuring and asset finance, Roger also has wide experience in full life-cycle real estate investment from procurement, acquisition and underwriting through to development, management and disposal in most sectors.
Roger started his career as a retail leasing broker in Leeds, UK, before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he specialised in distressed real estate, debt recovery and restructuring. Roger subsequently transferred to the firm’s Financial Advisory Services team in New York working on real estate capital market projects across the USA. Upon returning to London in 2001, Roger moved into the fund management field working for Teesland plc (now part of Valad Group), setting up specialist property funds for UK-based institutional investors.
In 2004 Roger became Head of Real Estate at Arab banking Corporation, where he specialised in creating Islamic-compliant real estate funds and debt products in the UK and Europe. Following this he joined Dubai Investment Group (part of Dubai Holding) as European Director, assisting in the creation of its European operation in London.
Roger graduated with Honours in Land Management from De Montfort University, Leicester (England) and holds a Diploma in Land and Property Valuation. He qualified as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1996. |
