Jawad Ali is a partner at King & Spalding’s Dubai and London offices and is the deputy leader of the firm’s award-winning Middle East & Islamic Finance practice group. His practice covers a broad range of Shari'ah-compliant and conventional finance and investment transactions. He is especially recognised for his knowledge of Shari'ah issues and his skills in developing innovative, Shari'ah compliant investment and financing structures. His practice has involved investment and financing transactions throughout the Middle East, across Europe, in the US and in Southeast Asia.
He received is Bachelors of Law (LLB) with honours from Liverpool University of Law, England, in 1993 and his Masters of Law (LLM) in International Banking and Finance, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law in 1994. Jawad was admitted to practice in New York in 1995. |
